The Story Behind Alentra
Sponsor Intent Lifecycle Management for Enterprise Transformation and AI Operations
Alentra exists to help Executive Sponsors govern purpose with the same discipline organizations apply to governing execution.
Organizations invest heavily in governing budgets, schedules, requirements, risks, controls, testing, deployment readiness, operational performance, security, compliance, and AI behavior. These capabilities help govern execution. Far fewer organizations have a disciplined way to govern the Business Intent, Scope Intent, and Transformation Approach Intent that execution is expected to preserve.
The result is a persistent gap between what leadership approves and what the enterprise ultimately implements and operates.
Alentra was created to close that gap.
Business Intent Design helps Executive Sponsors define and govern Sponsor Intent before major commitments are made. Intent Governance helps preserve that intent throughout the Enterprise Transformation Program lifecycle. Together, these disciplines help organizations maintain alignment between leadership intent and operational reality.
To operationalize those disciplines at scale, Alentra created the Governed Process Intelligence Architecture.
The Governed Process Intelligence Architecture provides the broader architecture for connecting Sponsor Intent to the teams, systems, workflows, implementation partners, operational environments, automation platforms, and AI capabilities responsible for carrying it into operational reality.
Process Intelligence Agents apply that architecture within specific enterprise domains and responsibilities. The CFO-TA is the first instantiation of the Governed Process Intelligence Architecture and Alentra's flagship Process Intelligence Agent.
The CFO-TA is the Executive Sponsor Platform. It helps Executive Sponsors establish, preserve, validate, monitor, improve, and prove Sponsor Intent while supporting both Intent Governance and Execution Governance throughout the Enterprise Transformation Program lifecycle.
The platform combines software, structured methods, AI-assisted capabilities, Leadership Signals (Micro-Videos), governed workflows, Sponsor-grade deliverables, validation disciplines, persistent governance assets, and live executive support when needed. Together, these capabilities help organizations make better transformation decisions before they become contractual commitments, implementation work, operational procedures, automation rules, or AI behaviors.
The objective is not simply to govern execution. It is to ensure that the purpose leadership approved remains visible, governable, and authoritative as decisions move through Solution Selection, contracting, implementation, operations, automation, and Agentic AI.
Why I Built Alentra
I have spent more than 35 years helping organizations navigate ERP, CRM, analytics, operating model, and enterprise transformation decisions, leading and supporting more than 185 Transformation Programs across organizations ranging from the middle market to major global enterprises.
Across those Transformation Programs, a persistent pattern emerged. Executive Sponsors remained accountable for transformation outcomes, yet the transformation ecosystem was built primarily to support software providers, implementation partners, and delivery teams. The Executive Sponsor remained underserved.
That observation led to the creation of Business Intent Design and ultimately The CFO-TA, the Executive Sponsor Platform. The platform translates accumulated transformation experience into a practical operating capability that helps Executive Sponsors define, govern, validate, preserve, and prove Sponsor Intent throughout the Enterprise Transformation Program lifecycle.
Today, Alentra helps Executive Sponsors and Business-Side leaders maintain alignment between leadership intent and operational reality across Transformation Programs, operational environments, automation, and AI-enabled operations.
The CFO-TA is the platform I spent decades wishing existed.
Ensure what leadership approves is what gets delivered.

Our Mission
Our mission is to ensure that as machines become more capable, people become more valuable.
Alentra helps organizations maintain human authority as AI assumes a larger role in enterprise decisions and operations.
We believe AI should expand meaningful human contribution rather than diminish it. Technology should help people apply judgment, make better decisions, establish accountability, validate outcomes, and provide responsible stewardship over the Sponsor Intent the organization has authorized.
The Executive Sponsor governs the loop.
The CFO-TA Product Purpose
The CFO-TA is the Executive Sponsor Platform. It was created to help Executive Sponsors govern their three Sponsor-owned responsibilities: Business Intent, Scope Intent, and Transformation Approach Intent. Together, these responsibilities form Sponsor Intent, the Executive Sponsor-owned expression of purpose and foundation of the Transformation Definition.
The platform helps Executive Sponsors establish, preserve, validate, monitor, improve, and prove Sponsor Intent throughout the Enterprise Transformation Program lifecycle while supporting both Intent Governance and Execution Governance. By maintaining alignment between leadership intent and operational reality, The CFO-TA helps organizations make better transformation decisions before those decisions become contractual commitments, implementation work, operational procedures, automation rules, or AI behaviors.
The CFO-TA combines software, structured methods, AI-assisted capabilities, Leadership Signals (Micro-Videos), governed workflows, Sponsor-grade deliverables, validation disciplines, persistent governance assets, and live executive support when needed. Together, these capabilities provide the structure, guidance, governance, continuity, decision support, and accumulated transformation experience Executive Sponsors need to fulfill the responsibilities only they can own.
The platform supports Executive Sponsors from Transformation Strategy and Solution Selection through contracting, implementation, operations, automation, and Agentic AI. It helps preserve the connection between what leadership intended, what the enterprise approved, what execution delivers, and what operations ultimately sustain over time.
Underlying the platform is a simple belief: as machines become more capable, people should become more valuable. The CFO-TA uses technology to strengthen human judgment, accountability, stewardship, and decision quality, helping Executive Sponsors govern purpose while technology supports execution. The Executive Sponsor governs the loop.
Built for Transformation and Ongoing Operations
The CFO-TA supports Executive Sponsors across both net-new Transformation Programs and existing operational environments. It provides a continuous governance foundation supporting both Intent Governance and Execution Governance throughout the Enterprise Transformation Program lifecycle.
Its role does not end when implementation concludes. Business Intent, Scope Intent, and Transformation Approach Intent continue to matter as systems evolve, operations change, automation expands, AI capabilities mature, and new decisions are made. Executive Sponsors remain accountable for outcomes long after go-live.
The CFO-TA helps organizations establish, preserve, validate, monitor, improve, and prove Sponsor Intent across Transformation Strategy, Solution Selection, contracting, implementation, operations, automation, and Agentic AI. By connecting purpose with behavior, the platform helps maintain alignment between what leadership intended, what the enterprise approved, what execution delivers, and what operations ultimately sustain over time.
Organizations can deploy The CFO-TA before Solution Selection begins, during active implementation, or within an existing operational environment where leadership needs to establish a stronger governance foundation, evaluate alignment, govern material change, improve accountability, or prepare for expanded automation and AI adoption.
This allows Sponsor Intent to remain a living, Sponsor-owned foundation rather than becoming a static collection of documents left behind after implementation. The objective is not simply to preserve what was originally approved, but to intentionally govern and evolve Sponsor Intent as business conditions, technologies, operations, and strategic priorities change.
Leadership intent should shape Solution Selection, contractual commitments, implementation decisions, operational practices, automation, and AI behavior, not be rediscovered after the fact.
