It is licensed through a straightforward subscription model designed for organizations that want an ongoing Business-Side capability operating within their own environment. The platform provides guidance, methodology, authoring, analysis, deliverable production, validation, review, coordination, decision support, continuity, and Sponsor Intent Lifecycle Management across the Enterprise Transformation Program lifecycle and ongoing operations.

Client information, Sponsor Intent Assets, governance records, evidence, decision history, and lifecycle history remain stored on the client’s infrastructure. The subscription provides access to The CFO-TA and Alentra’s continuing intelligence, platform evolution, guidance, support, and related licensed capabilities.

What The CFO-TA Platform Is

The CFO-TA is the Executive Sponsor Platform. It is a Business-Side platform purpose-built for Executive Sponsors responsible for major transformation investments. The platform helps Executive Sponsors govern their three Sponsor-owned responsibilities: Business Intent, Scope Intent, and Transformation Approach Intent. Together these form Sponsor Intent, the Executive Sponsor-owned expression of purpose and foundation of the Transformation Definition.

The platform combines The CFO-TA and Sponsor Intent Lifecycle Management Studio (SILMS) into a unified Intent Governance and Execution Governance capability operating within the client’s environment. Through structured governance assets, AI-enabled guidance, validation capabilities, monitoring, evidence management, and governance workflows, the platform helps Sponsors maintain alignment between approved Sponsor Intent and the decisions, activities, and outcomes that follow.

The CFO-TA Platform is licensed through fixed-term subscriptions that provide access to The CFO-TA, the SILMS, the continuing Alentra intelligence stream, platform updates, enhancements, customer support, premium guidance, and governance support included within the licensed scope. Organizations establish an ongoing Executive Sponsor capability while maintaining the flexibility to evolve participation, operating domains, and platform scope as business needs change.

Typical subscription terms include:

  • Six-month subscriptions

  • Twelve-month subscriptions

Subscription licensing includes:

  • The CFO-TA

  • The SILMS

  • The continuing Alentra intelligence stream

  • Platform updates and enhancements

What The CFO-TA Platform License Includes

A standard platform subscription includes access to The CFO-TA, a dedicated SILMS instance deployed within the client’s environment, one or more operating domains depending on the licensed scope, the continuing Alentra intelligence stream, platform updates, enhancements, customer support, premium guidance, and governance support aligned to the selected subscription. The subscription is designed around the Executive Sponsor and the Sponsor’s core leadership team while making approved Sponsor Intent accessible to the broader participants who require it.

Participation is focused on the individuals responsible for governing Sponsor Intent, accountability, validation, evidence review, and authorization decisions. As additional governance requirements emerge, organizations can expand platform scope, participant access, and operating domain coverage in a controlled and predictable manner.

Platform Prerequisites

The CFO-TA Platform operates through a combination of client-managed Microsoft technologies and licensed platform capabilities. Organizations typically require a Microsoft environment capable of supporting SILMS deployment, designated Sponsor participation, appropriate Business-Side participation, and clear governance ownership.

Typical prerequisites include:

  • Microsoft 365

  • SharePoint environment suitable for SILMS deployment

  • Microsoft Copilot licensing appropriate for participating users

  • Designated Sponsor participation

  • Designated Business-Side participation

SILMS is deployed within the client’s SharePoint environment and supports the creation and management of Sponsor Intent Assets, governance records, evidence, and related governance content under client control. The broader platform combines these client-controlled assets with licensed platform capabilities, support services, governance functionality, and ongoing platform updates.

Deployment Model

The CFO-TA Platform operates through a combination of client-managed Microsoft technologies and licensed platform capabilities provided by Alentra. SILMS is deployed within the client’s SharePoint environment and utilizes the client’s Microsoft permissions framework, retention policies, security controls, governance settings, and information management practices.

The client retains control of:

  • Microsoft tenant administration

  • Identity and access management

  • SharePoint administration

  • Data classification and retention policies

  • Audit logging and security controls

  • Sponsor Intent Assets and governance records

Sponsor Intent Assets, Sponsor-owned decisions, governance records, supporting evidence, validation history, decision history, lifecycle history, and related organizational intelligence remain stored on and accessible through the client’s environment. The client owns its information and Sponsor-owned assets. Alentra retains ownership of the SILMS, its software, methodology, structures, prompts, templates, frameworks, and other Alentra intellectual property.

Commercial Activation Requirements

All platform subscriptions are fixed-fee and prepaid. Payment must be received before platform provisioning, SILMS deployment, onboarding activities, access enablement, or subscription activation can begin. This approach creates clear commercial boundaries, predictable investment levels, and alignment between subscription activation and delivery activities.

Subscription Renewal

Organizations can renew, expand, reduce, or modify platform subscriptions at the conclusion of any subscription term. Renewal continues access to The CFO-TA, future SILMS releases, the continuing Alentra intelligence stream, platform updates, enhancements, new capabilities, customer support, premium guidance, Alentra-hosted services, and governance support included within the licensed scope.

Many organizations begin with a focused scope and expand as additional operating domains, stakeholders, decisions, and Sponsor Intent Lifecycle Management requirements emerge. Renewal preserves continuity while allowing the subscription to evolve with the organization’s priorities.

What Happens if a Subscription Expires

If a subscription is not renewed, access to The CFO-TA and the continuing Alentra intelligence stream ends at the conclusion of the licensed term. Future SILMS releases, platform updates, enhancements, new capabilities, support, premium guidance, Alentra-hosted services, and rights to newly developed Alentra intellectual property also end.

Client information stays with the client. Sponsor Intent Assets, Sponsor-owned decisions, governance records, evidence, validation history, decision history, lifecycle history, client-created documents, prompts, agents, configurations, reports, and other organizational intelligence remain stored on and accessible through the client’s infrastructure.

Subject to the applicable agreement, the client retains a perpetual, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to continue using the final version of the SILMS deployed in its environment for its own internal business purposes. This continuing right is limited to the licensed client entity and expressly named affiliates and does not permit sublicensing, resale, commercialization, redistribution, third-party hosting, or service-bureau use.

The client owns its information and Sponsor-owned assets. Alentra retains ownership of the SILMS, its software, methodology, structures, prompts, templates, frameworks, and other Alentra intellectual property.
