What Trial Option Is

Trial Options are not demos.

They are governed previews that let Sponsors experience:

  • structured decision logic

  • readiness discipline

  • evidence expectations

  • CFO‑TA guidance applied to real situations

  • the difference between partner‑shaped work and sponsor‑grade clarity

All without committing to a full lifecycle engagement.

Trial Options

You may choose either Trial depending on where you are in the transformation lifecycle.

Transformation Strategy Trial

Plan Phase — Experience Early Strategy Clarity

The Transformation Strategy Trial gives Sponsors a hands‑on experience with the CFO‑TA before entering the full Transformation Strategy engagement.

What’s Included

Authored Step 1 Initiate & Mobilize Deliverables

A curated set of foundational governance assets that every Sponsor needs to begin safely:

  • governance structure and decision rights

  • roles and responsibilities (RACI)

  • decision SLAs and escalation pathways

  • meeting and governance cadence

  • mobilization checklist

These deliverables accelerate alignment and reduce friction.

Framed Examples of Step 2 Intent & Business Case Components

The CFO‑TA provides structured framing for:

  • transformation intent

  • strategic driver themes

  • objective structure

  • business case narrative framing

  • expected outcome framing

  • high‑level scope framing

These are framing‑level examples, not authored Strategy deliverables.

Upload‑and‑Evaluate Option

Sponsors may upload their own or their consultant’s draft deliverables. The CFO‑TA evaluates them against the standards and highlights:

  • strengths

  • gaps

  • risks

  • misalignment

  • partner‑shaping patterns

This helps Sponsors determine whether Assurance Mode provides enough support or whether they prefer the deeper involvement of Guidance Mode.

What’s Not Included

The Trial does not create full Strategy deliverables such as:

  • objectives

  • KPIs

  • business case content

  • ROI boundaries

  • readiness assessments

  • scope boundaries

These remain part of the paid Transformation Strategy engagement.

When Sponsors reach Strategy Step 3 — Baseline Current State Process & Data Readiness, they can decide whether to add live Alentra support through a Transformation Accelerator.

Solution Selection Trial

Source Phase — Experience Governed Evaluation Logic

The Solution Selection Trial gives Sponsors a hands‑on experience with the CFO‑TA’s evaluation logic before entering the full Solution Selection engagement.

What’s Included

Authored Solution Evaluation Framework

A structured, governed evaluation model including:

  • evaluation categories

  • scoring dimensions

  • weighting logic

  • decision gates

  • evidence expectations

  • evaluation cadence checkpoints

  • risk‑to‑evaluation boundaries

This shows how the CFO‑TA creates comparability and protects decision quality.

Requirements Framework (Structure Only)

A structured requirements model including:

  • requirement categories

  • requirement types

  • acceptance criteria structure

  • traceability logic

This is the format, not the content. Requirements are authored during Strategy Step 6 and do not exist yet during the Trial.

Vendor Landscape Orientation

A high‑level overview of:

  • vendor categories

  • typical strengths and weaknesses

  • common risks

  • partner‑shaping patterns

Partner‑Shaping Risk Assessment

A short, authored assessment of:

  • drift

  • bias

  • misalignment

  • evidence gaps

Upload‑and‑Evaluate Option

Sponsors may upload their consultant’s evaluation materials. The CFO‑TA evaluates them against the standards and highlights:

  • gaps

  • risks

  • drift

  • misalignment

  • missing evidence

This helps Sponsors determine whether Assurance Mode is sufficient or whether they prefer the deeper involvement of Guidance Mode.

What’s Not Included

The Trial does not perform:

  • vendor scoring

  • requirements alignment

  • demo/pilot scripts

  • proposal analysis

  • comparative analysis

  • selection recommendations

  • contract controls

These remain part of the paid Solution Selection engagement.

What Trial Options Do Not Do

Trial Options do not:

  • deliver full Strategy or Selection

  • replace Guidance or Assurance engagements

  • extend beyond defined Trial boundaries

  • create measurable outcomes, KPIs, or business case content

  • perform vendor scoring or proposal analysis

They are structured previews, not partial engagements.

Trial Option Fee Structure

  • Fixed, non‑refundable Trial Fee

  • 100% credited upon upgrade

  • No partial continuation beyond trial scope

  • Clear decision gate at completion

This protects both momentum and governance discipline.

When Sponsors Use Trial Options

Sponsors typically choose a Trial when they:

  • want hands‑on experience before committing

  • need internal alignment before proceeding

  • want to validate the CFO‑TA approach

  • are cautious about early commitments

  • want to understand Assurance vs Guidance Mode

  • want to see how the CFO‑TA evaluates their consultant’s work
